While small quakes like these rarely make the news or give people too much of a start, they are great reminders of how we should all be prepared in the event of a disaster. Kudos to the Medical Reserve Corps of Los Angeles to use this thankfully small earthquake to raise awareness. Prepare 2 Respond is a great site. We all must do our part to be prepared in an emergency.

Sounds like a good idea.
1. I live in the San Fernando Valley and work mostly in Burbank.
or if it is easier to map regions 91342 and 91602
2. I'm registered as a Massage therapist and a Registered Veterinary technician, but I'm also an Acupuncturist [but i focus on chinese massage]. I understand there are about 20 acupuncturists registered in the Santa
Barbara area.

Would like to get to know other volunteers and their specialities. We have the opportunity to build from our skills through our peers. Maybe some of us would like to present to the group an aspect of what we do...just a thought.

Would like to add the utilization of readily available online GIS (e.g. ArcGIS explorer) to familiarize members to general loctations of other members and/or to add geography of areas (in LAC) of potential hazards/disasters. Also for those interested to track current disasters.
